Direct Service Tribes Fifth Annual National Meeting

Spokane, Washington

August 5 – 7, 2008

The fifth National meeting will continue the focus on concerns identified by the Tribal Leaders and the Direct Service Tribes Advisory Committee. In partnership between Tribal Leaders and the IHS, this meeting provides the only national forum in which health issues that impact Indian people served directly by the federally operated health system, may be discussed on a national level.

Agenda Topics and Breakout Sessions
This year’s meeting will focus on Chronic Care Initiative, Contract Health Services 101, Office of Resource Access & Partnerships Update, 638 Issues, Tribal Shares and Residuals, Resource Allocation Methodology and more. An innovative group process concept that is new to this meeting - "Open Space Technology" - will be used.
