BACKGROUND:

This Issuance updates and revises Part I, Chapter 1 Indian Health Manual establishes Part V as a Headquarters Part; and establishes Indian Self- Determination Memorandums, IHS Data Systems Policy Management Memorandums Community Health Representative Memorandums, and Special General Memorandums.

MATERIAL TRANSMITTED:

Part I, Chapter 1 Indian Health Manual, pages 1 through 9 and Table of Contents.  Exhibits l-1.10(1), 2 pages; l-1.3A(l); 2 pages; l-1.38, 2 pages; l-1.3C, 3 pages; l-1.3D, 2 pages; l-l.5B(l), 2 pages; and l-1.5C, 1 page only.


MATERIAL SUPERSEDED: Part I, Chapter 1 Indian Health Manual and Exhibits in its entirety which was Issued by TN-72.1 dated March 13, 1972; TN-76.3 dated March 11, 1976; and TN-83.6 dated April 20, 1983.

MANUAL MAINTENANCE: Remove superseded chapter and exhibits and file the attached chapter and exhibits in place. Log in and file the Transmittal Notice (TN).
