The Division of Health Facilities Engineering (HFE) works with California tribes/tribal organizations, as well as federal, state, county, and private agencies, to ensure effective construction, operation, maintenance, and repair of tribally owned healthcare facilities. HFE provides technical assistance to ensure that safe and functional physical environment exists for Native patients and for the protection of the tribal investment of these facilities.
