The Division of Health Facilities Engineering (HFE) works with California tribes/tribal organizations, as well as federal, state, county, and private agencies, to ensure effective construction, operation, maintenance, and repair of tribally owned healthcare facilities. HFE provides that a safe and functional physical environment exists for Native patients and for the protection of the tribal investment of these facilities.
