Attached (below) please find two Dear Tribal Leader Letters posted on the IHS Director's Blog on August 2, 2012 concerning Contract Health Services (CHS).
The first attachment (below) is a Dear Tribal leader Letter which proposes the creation of a set aside to use CHS funding to pay for prevention services. Your on-going input is requested and can be submitted via e-mail at consultation@ihs.gov or by postal mail to the IHS, 801 Thompson Avenue, Room 440, Rockville, Maryland 20852.
The second attachment (below) (read only at this time) is a Dear Tribal Leader Letter dated August 2, 2012 concerning CHS Funding. The third attachment (below) is a table that describes the FY 2012 distribution of CHS increases appropriated by Congress, FY 2011 recurring base, adjusts for medical inflation by 3.2%, CHEF utilization, and a recission of -0.16%.
