I am pleased to annouce the arrival of a new addition to the IHS California Area Office.  Dr. Charles Magruder, a seasoned public health professional, has joined our staff as the Chief Medical Officer.  A brief bio and his picture can be found at the below link / PDF.

Dr. David Sprenger retired from the USPHS about one year ago and has been serving as Acting CMO until we completed the recruitment process for a replacement.  Dr. Sprenger will continue to serve as the IHS/CMO Behavioral Health Consultant on a part-time basis.
