A: Students will be notified no later than Wednesday, April 11, 2012.
Q: What date can I expect to be notified if I am on a waiting list for Basic or Refresher training?
A: In the event that a space in the Basic CHR Training becomes available, students will be notified no later than May 7, 2012. In the event that a space in the Refresher CHR Training becomes available, students will be notified no later than June 18, 2012.
Q: How do I know if my Tribe has taken or left its HQ CHR shares?
A: OCAITHB will send out notices to all applicants to inform them whether or not they have been accepted and will include the Tribe's shares status.
Q: How much will the training cost if my Tribe has taken its HQ CHR shares?
A: The registration fee for the Basic CHR Training is $1,550 plus all travel, lodging and per diem costs. The registration fee for the CHR Refresher Training is $975 plus all travel, lodging and per diem costs.
Q: When do we have to pay?
A: If the Tribe you work for has taken its CHR shares, you will receive instructions for how to submit the payment. OCAITHB does not accept purchase orders (POs). Payment must be received at least 2 weeks prior to the beginning of class. The best practice we strongly recommend is to start the payment process early within the Tribe.
Q: How long does it take to complete the pre-course materials?
A: Basic CHR Students have at least 45 days to complete the workbook, take the test(s), and return them to the address provided. Send the complete packet back as soon as you complete it - donâ€™t delay! Late materials will not be accepted. Only students who have completed and returned the assigned pre-course materials can be approved to attend the onsite Basic CHR Training in Tulsa, OK.
Q: Will internet access be available?
A: Yes, free internet access will be available on site at the hotel.
Q: Does parking at the hotel cost?
A: No, parking is complimentary for all guests and visitors.
Q: Where do I make my hotel reservations?
A: Students who are approved to attend do not need to make their own hotel reservations. The contractor will crerate a rooming list of ALL students and provide it to the hotel. CHRs from Tribes which have left IHS Headquarters CHR shares there is no cost. For CHRs from Tribes which have taken their IHS Headquarters CHR shares and for Urban Programs will be included on the rooming list and will not need to call to make a reservation, but will be responsible for all hotel costs on site.
