EDR FAQ

How much will the software slow us down?

As with any new process there is a learning curve that must occur with all staff prior to becoming proficient with the EDR software. Because you will be required to enter exam and treatment needs data into the EDR software package, additional time at the chair will be required during the initial oral exams. Remember that the time you spent at the chair filling in this information will not be required at the end of the day which is the typical time this information is completed. Once that information is entered, treatment appointments will be much faster than having to fill out a superbill or pink slip. A detailed assessment utilizing statistical data has not been completed at this time, however most sites normally return to 100% productivity within 3 to 4 months.
