How should I schedule patients during the initial implementation?

The biggest and most time consuming adjustment in using the EDR will be the charting of initial oral examinations. During the early weeks of “go live” it is probably best to cut back initial oral examinations to about one-half of your regular schedule. You can gradually bring the schedule back up to normal as the staff becomes more proficient with the software and your new business processes become more routine.
