Clinical Documentation Improvement Sub-Group

Purpose:

  • To ensure optimized clinical documentation improvement efforts within the I/T/Us
  • To provide an understanding of the impact of ICD-10 on IHS current coding systems and business workflow
  • Identify both ICD-9 and ICD-10 codes that are stored, analyzed and reported
  • Provide reports on coding accuracy and productivity
  • Provide targeted education efforts

The ICD-10 Technical Development Sub-Group may include Federal, Tribal, Urban, ISAC and ORAP representatives with an interest and communicating ICD-10 throughout the I/T/Us.
