AUTHORITY DELEGATED

Pursuant to the authority vested in the Director, Indian Health Service (IHS), by the Act of November 2, 1921 (25 United States Code (U.S.C.) 13) the Act of August 5, 1954 (42 U.S.C. 2001), and (42 Code of Federal Regulations 136.25, (43 Federal Register, 34655), I hereby delegate to the Deputy Director for Management Operations and the Director, Office of Resource Access and Partnerships, the authority to make a final determination in accordance with applicable regulations on the original or reconsidered decision in which contract health services have been denied to a person by the IHS Area Director.

This authority may not be redelegated.

SUPERSESSION

This delegation supersedes the previous delegation of authority located in the Indian Health Manual, Delegation of Authority, Administrative #9, dated November 23, 1988.

EFFECTIVE DATE

This delegation is effective on the date of signature.
