DELEGATIONS OF AUTHORITY SUBJECT: CERTIFICATION OF TRUE COPIES Pursuant to the authority vested in the Director, Indian Health Service, by the Reorganization Order of January 4,1988, (52 FR 47053). which elevated the Indian Health Service to a PHS Agency, and in accordance with the authority delegated to the PHS Agency Heads on June 19. 1981, I hereby delegate the following authorities as indicated below: To PHS Agency Heads on June 19, 1981, I hereby delegate to the officials listed below for the area indicated, the authority to certify true copies of any books, records, papers, or other documents on file within their respective areas, or extracts from such, to certify that true copies are true copies of the entire file of their respective areas to certify the complete original records, or to certify the nonexistence of records on file within their respective areas, and to concur the Seal of the Department to be affixed to such certifications. The authority to cause the Seal to be affixed to agreements, awards, citations, diplomas, and similar documents.
AUTHORITY TO REDELEGATE These authorities may be redelegated. RESTRICTIONS AND LIMITATIONS These authorities shall be exercised with regard to their respective organization. INFORMATION AND GUIDANCE Requirements and instructions for exercising these authorities are contained in HHS Chapter l-20, General Administration Manual, and any PHS or IHS supplements thereto. SUPERSESSION This delegation supersedes Exhibit l-5.2E-9, Subjett: Certification of True Copies, Indian Health Manual, Part 1, Chapter 5, Delegations of Authority, Transmittal Notice 85.2, dated January 4, 1985.
