SUBJECT:  PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICE ACT, TITLE III - GENERAL POWERS AND DUTIES OF PHS, PART D, PRIMARY HEALTH CARE, SUBPART III - SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM AND LOAN REPAYMENT PROGRAM, SECTION 3381 - INDIAN SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Pursuant to the authority vested in the Director, Indian Health Service, by the Reorganization Order of January 4, 1988, (52 FR 47053), which elevated the Indian Health Service to a PHS Agency, I hereby delegate to the officials listed below, the authority under Title III, Section 3381 of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 254r) as amended:

1. The authority to administer the Indian Health Scholarship Program.

   Associate Director, Office of Health Programs	IHS-wide
   Director, Division of Health Professions Recruitment and Training, (OHP)	IHS-wide

   AUTHORITY TO REDELEGATE

   This authority may be redelegated subject to Section 707 of the PHS Act.

2. The authority to provide for the program guidance and administration of an IHS educational loan repayment program.
