Transmittal Notice 65-53

BACKGROUND:

This transmittal forwards a pen and ink change for Part 2, Chapter 4, of the Indian Health Manual in accordance with the hospital per diem reimbursement rates approved by the Bureau of the Budget for Fiscal Year 1966.  These rates are:

Beneficiaries of other Government Agencies.......$27.
Non-beneficiary emergency cases......................$42.

In Section 2-4.4G(1) page 8 line 1 change rate to read $27.
In Section 2-4.4G(2) page 8 line 18 change rate to read $27.

In Section 2-4.4H page 9 at the end of the 2nd paragraph insert "The approved rate for Fiscal Year 1966 is $42.
