BACKGROUND:

This transmittal forwards a new chapter in Part 3, Professional Services - Chapter 3, Health Records.  This chapter outlines the objectives, goals and general area of responsibility for the Indian Health Service Health Records Branch.  It also includes Interdepartmental Responsibilities and Medicolegal Aspects of Health Records.
