BACKGROUND:

This issuance establishes Indian Health Manual (IHM), Part 3, Chapter 4, entitled "Nursing."  The chapter sets forth the policy, objectives and responsibilities relating to nursing within the Indian Health Service (IHS).

The IHM Part 3, Chapter 4, entitled "Nursing" Pages 1-42 Table of Contents

MATERIAL SUPERSEDED:

The IHM, Part 3, Chapter 4, entitled "Nursing," dated May 7 1985, Transmittal Notice number 85.4.

MANUAL MAINTENANCE:

Remove the existing material and insert the attached chapter for the IHM, Part 3, Chapter 4, entitled "Nursing."

Record and file the Transmittal Notice number on the checklist in the Transmittal Notice book.
