Transmittal Notice 06-17

BACKGROUND:

The purpose of this Transmittal Notice (TN) is to forward a copy of the revised Part 8, Chapter 2, "Information Systems Advisory Committee Charter," Indian Health Manual (IHM).  The information Systems Advisory Committee (ISAC) is established to guide the development of a co-owned and co-managed Indian health information infrastructure and information systems.  The ISAC will assist in ensuring that information systems are available, accessible, useful, cost effective, user-friendly, and secure for local-level providers, and that these systems continue to create standardized aggregate data that supports advocacy for Indian health programs at the national level.

Revised Part 8, Chapter 2, "Information Systems Advisory Committee Charter," (IHM).

This chapter supersedes Part 8, Chapter 2, "Information Systems Advisory Committee, Charter" (IHM).

Remove and discard Part 8, Chapter 2, "Information Systems Advisory Committee Charter," (IHM), TN 2003-05, dated 08-06/03, in its entirety from your manual system binders.  Insert the attached copy of the revised chapter (TN 2006-16) in its place.
