List Purpose/Description: This list will serve as a vehicle for moderated discussion of the IHS Baby-Friendly ® Hospital Initiative. All IHS hospitals with OB capacity will be encouraged to become certified as a Baby-Friendly Hospital through Baby Friendly USA. Tribal facilities are welcomed to participate as well. IHS Headquarters will need to communicate with an appointed lead contact at each hospital, Service Unit and Area Office, and this list will be the tool to accomplish that. Note: This listserv is limited to federal participants. Staff from Tribal-operated or Urban facilities serving American Indian/Alaska Native customers are welcomed to email Regena.Dale@ihs.gov or Tina.Tah@ihs.gov to request subscription to the listserv .
