Steps Toward Receiving EHR Incentive Payments
Attest
Attest that the Eligible Hospital (EH) or Eligible Professional (EP) meets the requirements for incentive payments.
Once EPs or EHs have successfully demonstrated MU for the appropriate reporting period, they can attest for incentive payments. EPs or EHs that have elected to participate in the Medicare Electronic Health Record (EHR) incentive program must attest with CMS. EPs or EHs who elect to participate in the Medicaid EHR incentive program must attest and demonstrate eligibility through their state Medicaid agency's system.
