The Tribal Leaders Diabetes Committee (TLDC) includes a Tribal Leader co-chair and a federal co-chair. Both co-chairs have voting privileges.

IHS Area Representatives

Each IHS Area appoints an elected Tribal Leader to serve as its representative on the Tribal Leaders Diabetes Committee. The IHS Area representatives have voting privileges. If the IHS Area representative cannot attend a Tribal Leaders Diabetes Committee meeting, the Area appoints a Tribal Leader to serve as the alternate representative; the alternate representative also has voting privileges.
