National Data Warehouse (NDW)

Viewing Export History

The NDW Export Tracking Web Site, the main feature of the Export Tracking Mart, provides users with the ability to track not only the receipt and processing of individual files but also the history of exports sent by a Site or Area over any specified period of time.  It is accessible via the IHS National Data Warehouse Reporting Web Site for those who have access to the IHS Intranet.   Refer first to the NDW Reporting Web Site User’s Guide, available in the ‘Accessing/Using NDW Data’ section of the NDW Document Library, for instructions on how to access the NDW Reporting Web Site and all its resources. Then, refer to “Using the NDW Export Tracking Web Site” in the Export Tracking Mart User’s Guide for additional details.

Contact your Area Statistical Officer if you need to view your export history but don’t have access to the IHS Intranet.

Below are some frequently asked questions related to viewing the history of your exports:
Which facilities are behind/up-to-date in their reporting?
What if I need to fill a gap in my submissions?
What if we missed sending a file – how do we re-transmit?
What if I need to create a new extract?

For RPMS systems, documentation for the system you are exporting from is available here.

If you select the ‘Data Warehouse Export System (BDW)’, then select ‘User Manual’, you can chose from two options to create a new extract:

  1. If a file was previously created but subsequently lost, damaged or destroyed before being loaded into the NDW,  refer to the ‘Re-Run a Previously Run Data Warehouse Export (RERX)’ section of the user manual.
  2. If you simply want to create an update file, refer instead to the ‘Generate Data Warehouse Export Records (GDW)’ section.

If you select the ‘Contract Health Services/Mgmt Info System (ACHS)’, then select ‘User Manual’, you can chose from two options to create a new extract:

  1. If a file was previously created but subsequently lost, damaged or destroyed before being loaded into the NDW,  refer to the ‘Re-Export CHS Transmission Data’ section of the user manual.
  2. If you simply want to create an update file, refer instead to the ‘CHS Data – Prepare for Export’ section.

For non-RPMS systems, refer to your system documentation or software vendor.

If you experience difficulties with any of the above options, contact support@ihs.gov for assistance..[Close]
