World Breastfeeding Week

World Breastfeeding Week

Make breastfeeding a family tradition. Five generations of women from the Navajo Kiyaa'aanii (Towering House Clan) have breastfed their children to give them a healthy start to life. Breastfed children have reduced rates of childhood obesity, diabetes, allergies, and asthma. Indian Health Service Baby-Friendly hospitals offer women the information, confidence, and skills they need to initiate and continue breastfeeding their babies.
