Walk-in Appointments Available at Anadarko Indian Health Center to Address Recent Suicides

In an effort to provide continued support for those affected by the recent deaths in the community, the Indian Health Service has enhanced behavioral health services at the Anadarko Indian Health Center. The center is open daily from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and for at least the next two weeks there are expanded walk-in services available.

For those unable to access services at the Indian Health Service, there are resources and referral information available at the clinic as needed. In addition, a care station is open to anyone at the Iscani Gym/Wichita Housing Authority daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There is a multi-agency care station located at the Physicians Hospital in Anadarko staffed by the state of Oklahoma Mental Health Department that is open daily to anyone from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

You may contact the IHS behavioral health staff at Anadarko 405-247-7902 or Lawton 580-354-5120. After hours contact the Lawton IHS Emergency Room 580-354-5400.
