The W.K. Kellogg Foundation
Program Type: Resources - Information or materials that might help develop a program/project in a community but can not be defined as a Best Practice, Promising Practice, or Local Effort.
Description:
Health programming at the W.K. Kellogg Foundation focuses explicitly on improving individual and community health, and improving access and quality of health care as a means to that end. Specifically, grant making focuses on the powerful non-biological determinants of health, and targets communities, health care systems, and public health as a center for change. Here "health care" is broadly defined to include the array of services, policies, and resources that achieve and sustain the health of individuals, including but not limited to medical services and coverage. "Public health" includes those systems that protect, maintain, and monitor the health of a population.
