These are laws that lower the blood alcohol concentration at which it is illegal to drive a motor vehicle from 0.10 g/dL to 0.08 g/dL (0.08%). This intervention is effective in reducing fatal, alcohol-related crashes and is strongly recommended based on scientific evidence.
