Description:
The purpose of the Trampling tobacco Project is to reduce the addiction, disease and death caused by tobacco use in Alaska.
Goals:
Protect the public health of rural and urban Alaskans by raising awareness of the harm caused by tobacco use.
Prevent initiation of tobacco products by children.
Promote tobacco cessation among youth and adults.
Support policies which protect nonsmokers from secondhand smoke.
Develop resources and tools for rural communities to assist their tobacco prevention efforts.
