Description:
The North American Indian Center of Boston’s Urban Health Program, Behavioral Health Program and Tecumseh House Substance Abuse Program utilize a multidisciplinary team approach to case management. This approach serves to fully address clients’ medical, mental health and substance abuse needs. It also serves to cut down on duplication of services by keeping all departments informed of services rendered to clients and what their future needs may be. Members of the team include certified substance abuse counselors, a licensed psychologist, a diabetes program nurse, a community health nurse and a community health advocate. Regularly scheduled team members are held.
