RRM Module: Information Technology
Overview:
The RRM Information Technology staffing module estimates the requirements for computer programmer/analyst staff to maintain the clinical data systems, maintain the ambulatory patient care systems, maintain the CHS system, maintain the Inpatient system, maintain the accounting interface, maintain the electronic health record system and maintain the Patient Registration system. They also coordinate the implementation, training and ongoing support of multi-service clinical software such as the electronic health record. The workload parameter that is the key variable in the staffing estimation is Primary Care Provider Visits (PCPVs) and inpatient days.
Services Description:
The Information Technology staff perform the following list of activities:
- Maintain the clinical data systems
- Maintain the ambulatory patient care systems
- Maintain the CHS system
- Maintain the Inpatient system
- Maintain the accounting interface
- Maintain the electronic health record system and
- Maintain the Patient Registration system.
- Coordinate Clinical Applications of RPMS i.e. Electronic Health Record.
Staffing Criteria:
Fixed computer programmer/analyst staff of 1.0 FTE for every 45 staff working at a facility.
Fixed Clinical Applications Coordinator of 2.0 FTE for each facility.
