Website Requests
Requesting a website or website redesign is a simple process. Whether you need to set up a brand new website with information about your area/office/program or a complicated financial tracking database system you will need to submit certain forms to get the process going. All information noted here applies to ALL IHS.gov work provided by the Web Service program and/or any other contracts outside of it.
Note: Content must be nearly completed when WSRF is submitted and design/development work should not begin until the project is approved.

Website Planning Guide Checklist

For all new static website and helps you organize and meet Federal guidelines. -
Business Needs Statement

Identifies the business need for a proposed investment or project, includes a brief description of the proposed project’s purpose, goals, and scope. -
Website Redesign Planning Guide Checklist
[Word - 80KB]
For existing websites that need a makeover for content, look and feel, or to meet Federal web requirements.

For all minor changes to your existing website, including text, images, and documents, fill out and send the Website Content Update Request Form [Word - 25KB] to your Web Team Representative. If you don’t know who that is, send the name and URL of your website to ihswebadmin@ihs.gov.
