The goal of Challenges is to share experiences and ideas among dentists new to the Indian Health Service. We plan to help strengthen your skills and clinical confidence particularly in the specialty areas of endodontics, pediatric dentistry, and oral surgery, so that you can address the unique treatment needs of a diverse patient population. The course will include clinical data analysis, personnel training, and problem solving.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:

1. Recognize and provide emergency treatment of mandible fractures and dental infection.
2. Recognize and diagnose crown-root fractures.
3. Apply different suture techniques.
4. Recognize and treat the Early Childhood Caries.
5. Demonstrate proper selection and placement of stainless steel crowns.
6. Practice proper root canal instrumentation using Profile System.

Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
