Summary:

Quality improvement in the dental environment can be challenging because of the time available to routinely monitor and improve quality of care. This course will teach participants national benchmarks for quality of dental care, the process by which to easily measure quality of dental care, and how to set and achieve dental quality goals.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:
1. Define at least three nationally recognized standards of quality dental care which can be measured.
2. Describe the quality improvement process from defining the problem to setting realistic goals to carrying out short tests to make improvements.
3. Identify at least three quality benchmarks that the participant will measure consistently in his/her clinic in an effort to improve quality of care.

Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
