Summary:

This course is only open to Phoenix, Navajo, and Tucson Areas and will provide 10 workshops with speakers from IHS, dental schools and private sector programs. The focus of the SWDSC CDE and Traini ng course i s to provide support, guidance and training for l/T/U dental programs specifically within the Navajo, Phoenix and Tucson Areas to address caries rate and the implementation of new prevention activities i n I ndian communities .

1. Government employees- must bring their government identification card. Upon check-in, visiting personnel will be required to display their Government ID card with photo: Badge must be visibly displayed at all times while on the premises.

2. Non-government personnel must bring a driver's license or state identification card and will be assigned an NTC visitor badge.

3. All visitors will be required to enter through the main entrance on the north side of the building no earlier than 7:00 AM. All visitors are also required to exit through the main entrance area.

4. Parking is available. No charge.

Upon completion of this conference, the participant will be able to:

1.   Evaluate innovative disease management tools and measurement protocols
2.   Apply new technologies, materials, and practices for treating patients
3.   Explore and implement a variety of prevention activities
4.   Create an effective collaborative partnership among the l/T/U dental programs

Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
