Summary:

This course is only open to Dzilth Na o Dith Hle Heath Center staff.

The purpose of this course is to provide education on the etiology of dental caries, the rates of dental decay specific to Navajo children, aged 0-5 years, and in how to apply fluoride varnish. The course will lead to certification in the application of varnish

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:

1.Explain the etiology of dental decay according to the
latest scientific evidence

2. Explain the extent of dental decay, both treated and
untreated in Navajo children aged 0-5

3. Demonstrate the application of fluoride varnish

Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
