Summary:

This webinar will address pain, pain management, addiction, and medication assisted treatment for Non-prescribing Clinicians. Participants will learn about non-pharmacological and non-opioid treatments for chronic pain, and the role of a multidisciplinary pain team. Opioid misuse will be discussed, as well as medication assisted treatment and harm reduction interventions.

This presentation is open to everyone, and there is no fee to participate in this webinar. Continuing education credits from various disciplines will be provided for attending this webinar. Details on how to claim these credits will be provided during the presentation.
NOTE: Per APA guidelines partial credit will not be given, you must attend the entire one hour in order to receive credits.

1.   Examine the public health opioid epidemic in Indian Country.
2.   Incorporate effective non-opioid pharmacological pain treatment options.
3.   Apply best practices for safe opioid use with a focus on chronic pain management and substance use disorder.

Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
