Summary:

This course is designed to provide experienced IHS, Tribal, and Urban dental program directors/dental chiefs and assistant dental directors/deputy chiefs with the skills and knowledge to continue to improve dental program management. This is the third of a three-part series of clinic management courses and participants must have successfully completed Concepts I and II within the past five years to enroll in this course.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:
1. Describe the progressive discipline process;
2. List at least 10 quality, efficiency, productivity, or efficiency measures that are or can be tracked in your dental program; and
3. Provide details on advanced staff development to improve retention of quality staff in your program.

Prerequisites:

Participants should serve either in the role of dental clinic program director/dental chief or assistant dental director/deputy chief.

Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
