Summary:

The Great Lakes Inter-Tribal Epidemiology Center would like to invite Health Directors, Dentists, Dental Directors, and other dental health professionals serving American Indians/Alaskan Natives in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Chicago to attend a convening of Tribal, urban Indian, and IHS Service Unit [I/T/U] oral health professionals.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this presentation, participants will be able to:
1. Describe the influences for the 2020 Surgeon General's Report on Oral Health;
2. List the implications of poor oral health;
3. Define health literacy and the state of health literacy in the U.S.;
4. Correlate adverse childhood experiences to individual and community health; and
5. Identify appropriate pain management for dental patients.

Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
