Description:The presentation provides an overview of peripheral neuropathy with a focus on diabetes-related nerve damage. It will outline the major types of diabetic neuropathy and highlight common clinical manifestations. Participants will also learn evidence-based strategies for symptomatic management, including pharmacologic treatments, lifestyle modification, and preventive foot care. Objectives and Outcomes: As a result of completing this training, the healthcare team will be able to:1.Examine the pathophysiology and general characteristics of different neuropathies.2.Differentiate among key types of diabetic neuropathy.3.Apply practical approaches to managing neuropathic symptoms, such as pain control, glycemic optimization, and non-pharmacologic interventions.

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
