Description: This 1-day hands-on class is targeted for staff who work around electrically energized equipment. Topics will cover Hazard Risk Categories, appropriate boundaries specified in NFPA 70E [OSHA requirements] proper selection of Personal Protective Equipment [PPE] care and use of electrical PPE, and safe work practices within the limited approach boundary.
Learning Outcomes: 1. Determine Hazard Risk Category using NFPA 70E tables and equipment tables 2. Identify work boundaries per NFPA 70E 3. Select appropriate PPE for the work task 4. Describe safe work practices when working wihin the limited approach boundary.
