Description: This session is presented by Managed Design and is for CAD technicians and engineers. It will provide a comprehensive overview of how to create an access road with two intersections. The session will focus on applying the core concepts involved in laying out an access road with a pair of intersections. Topics include: creating a intersection using AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012, creating custom assemblies, creating corridor surfaces, adding transitions and profiles to separate components of your assembly. Final step will be using the Volumes Dashboard to extract your earthworks.
Learning Outcomes: In this 4 hour hands-on session we will explore Civil 3D’s Intersection tool, modifying corridors, creating surfaces from you corridors for use with earthwork calculations and exploring the Volumes Dashboard for extracting earthwork volumes.
Prerequisites: Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012 and AutoCAD 2012.
