Exchange And
Profile Search |
The employee search is capable of locating IHS employees and contracts by entering
either their lastname or phone number. If the exact spelling of a lastname or numerical
ordering of a phone number is not known, enter any part of the lastname or number
while adding the symbol * in front of, behind,
or both without any spaces (e.g. *gar* or 301*). By selecting the exchange
part of the search, which is the pre-selected option, information will be displayed
from the primary IHS exchange mail server. The profile search, on the other hand,
locates user information from the IHS web server. There are no restrictions in
creating your own web account, just register. |

Sites And Facilities

The IHS Sites/Facilities search allows for any site in IHS to be located by
naming or partially naming the facility or by facility type, and isolate a
named search by area, service unit, and facility. |

Health & Human
Services (HHS)
Search |
An employee search can also performed from the Health & Human Services primary web site
(www.hhs.gov). When accessing this site, a frame is created to allow you to return to
the IHS web site or remove the frame altogether. |

Indian Health Service

This link sends you to a page to download the IHS phone directory, and allows
any IHS employee or contract to submit corrections or entry removals. from the
exchange mail server. |

IHS Web Account |
The Login/Logout and Register/Profile
links found just below on this page only pops up a new window to
log you into the IHS web, or register or activate your web account. If you have been with the IHS since
2004 in any capicity you will most likely be activating an existing account, otherwise you will probably
to creating a web account. Follow the directions provided and you should have an account in no time.
