BACKGROUND
This transmittal forwards Section 1-4.6 of Chapter 4, Part 1, Organization of the Service. This section provides for the development of Medical and Dental Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations in IHS facilities in accordance with the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospital standards.
It also delegates the approval of such Bylaws, Rules and Regulations to the Area Directors.
