This session is part of a regular series of CE courses offered to the staff of the Nashville Area.

PANDA is a program to address the lack of child abuse and neglect reporting by dental professionals. The educational program includes the history of family violence in our society, clinical examples of confirmed abuse and neglect, and discussions of legal and liability issues involved in family violence interventions.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:
1. Identify average age of abused children.
2. Define the factors that contribute to abuse.
3. List warning signs of abuse.
4. Name the most common dental injury reported in cases of child abuse.
5. Discuss the most appropriate time to report suspected child abuse.

Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
