What a Difference a Friend Makes

In 2007, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and the Ad Council launched "What a Difference a Friend Makes," a media campaign encouraging young people to provide support to friends experiencing mental health issues with two print ads:

The video "Native Youth Speaks on Suicide Prevention," Exit Disclaimer: You Are Leaving www.ihs.gov  is the result of 10 suicide prevention listening sessions held throughout Indian Country by the IHS, with partners at SAMHSA and the U.S. Department of the Interior.
