HHS American Indian/Alaska Native Health Research Advisory Council (HRAC)

The Research Advisory Council provides DHHS avenue for consulting with Tribes about health research priorities and needs in American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) communities.  The three primary functions are to gain input from Tribal Leaders on health research priorities and needs for their communities; provide a forum through which DHHS can better communicate and coordinate AI/AN health research activities; and, provide a conduit for disseminating information to Tribes about research findings from studies focusing on the health of AI/AN populations.  Meetings are held one time a year with four conference calls.
