Dear Tribal Leaders,

Please be advised of the following letter to Tribal Leaders dated September 23.  This letter is to inform you of a major change to annual performance reporting for the IHS.  In FY 2016, the IHS plans to begin preparations to implement the Integrated Data Collection System Data Mart (IDSC DM), a new reporting mechanism within the National Data Warehouse.  The Enclosure contains a FAQ sheet is a concise overview of the IDCS DM project:  what it is, why IHS is building it, when it will be deployed, benefits and limitations, a comparison table between the IDCS DM and the Clinical Reporting System, which will be used by IHS to report FY 2016 and FY 2017 performance measure results in the FY 2018 and FY 2019 Congressional Justifications.  This attachment is a very useful document for you to provide throughout your Areas as a quick introduction to the IDCS DM.
