On October 10, 2016, IHS entered into Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) with Washington University in St. Louis [PDF - 865 KB] and the University of Michigan [PDF - 969 KB] in an effort to advance recruitment, retention and development of behavioral clinicians in Indian Country.

These MOUs place American Indian and Alaska Native Social work students and highly qualified graduates into IHS health facilities for internships and clinical residencies as well as support the areas of education, research and evaluation.

Recruiting a Future Workforce
