Summary:

The purpose of this course is to provide a review of Advanced Restorative techniques and materials for those dental assistants who have previously completed the Advanced Restorative Functions course, have been utilized as expanded functions assistants placing advanced restorations for at least five years, and feel the need for a refresher course. This course will briefly re-introduce concepts concerning tooth anatomy and morphology but will primarily be a hands-on course working with typodonts and doing restorations.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, the participants will be able to:

1. Determine the difference between an acceptable and unacceptable restoration.
2. Have a better understanding of tooth anatomy and morphology.
3. Understand where help is most needed when doing restorations.

Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
