DD0033: Leadership Course: ADO/Chiefs Series - Clinical Efficiency & Effectiveness
This course is part of the ADO/Dental Chiefs/Dental Directors ongoing webinar series designed to provide Area Dental Officers and dental managers with both practical information and leadership information to help them do their jobs better.
This webinar will be available live on May 2, 2017 from 3-4 Eastern Time. Information on this webinar will be sent out via the IHS Dental Chiefs Listserv. The session will be recorded, and a recorded link will be send out via the IHS Dental Chiefs Listserv 2-5 days after the course.
The webinar will provide definitions of efficiency and effectiveness and describe in detail the 20 IHS clinical efficiency and effectiveness indicators and how they apply to a clinical and public health setting.
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
1. List at least 5 of the IHS clinical productivity, efficiency and effectiveness standards;
2. Identify at least two best practices related to improving access to care; and
3. Discuss the balance between assessing quality of care and maximizing third party collections.

The Indian Health Service Division of Oral Health (IHS DOH) is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider. ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry. IHS DOH designates this activity for 1.00 continuing education credits.
No tuition required
Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
