Summary:

This intensive 2 day course is designed to provide practical
information for the dental practitioner in regards to treatment of patients with complex medical conditions.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
1. Understand many of the common medical conditions that affect patients seen in a clinical setting;
2. Communicate effectively with his fellow dental as well as various medical providers as it relates to commonly seen complex medical conditions; and
3. Understand specific medications used in the treatment of common medical conditions and will be able to discuss how theses drugs interact with other medications and their overall effect on patient treatment.

Tuition Payment Information:

Title V compacted programs should send $200.00 per student to:

IHS Division of Oral Health, ATTN: CDE Coordinator, 5600 Fishers Lane, Mail Stop 08N34 A, Rockville, MD 20857.

Tuition is required only for staff from Title V Compact programs, and is required at least 2 weeks prior to the course.

Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
