Summary:

This course will review nitrous oxide use as an anxiolytic agent in dentistry. Topics will include environmental standards, safety, equipment, patient selection, and the step-by-step procedure for providing nitrous oxide to dental patients.

This is an AIDC Study Club and is open to the dentists at AIDC and Santa Fe Indian Hospital

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, participants will:
1: Understand the safety and environmental standards required for using of nitrous oxide in the dental setting
2. Be familiar with the equipment used when providing nitrous oxide to dental patients.
3. Know which dental patients are good candidates for nitrous oxide anxiolysis, and the step-by-step procedure for nitrous oxide delivery in the dental operatory.

Tuition is due only from staff from tribal programs that have taken their HQ dental shares. Tuition Payment is due at least 30 days prior to the start of the course. Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
